Shrewsbury's Omar Beckles to join mental health discussion

Shrewsbury Town defender Omar Beckles will be sharing his tips for protecting your mental health in a live online discussion.

The 28-year-old Grenada international, who has been open about his struggles in the past and has formed his own Hub365 charity, will speak at the Shrewsbury Town in the Community Head's Up Live event.

It will be an interactive live session hosted by Salop's stadium announcer Ryan Jervis OBE, with child and family psychologist and mental health expert Kay Brophy answering your questions and giving an insight into how we should all be looking after our mental health at the moment.

Shrewsbury Town in the Community is delighted to reveal that this Saturday afternoon (2 May 2020) we will be holding our first Head’s Up Live session on Facebook and YouTube.

The discussion will take on a round-table format, and also appearing will be Shrewsbury Town supporters liaison officer Mike Davies.

Viewers will be able to comment and their questions will be answered by the guests, and those wishing to ask questions anonymously can do so by submitting them at shrewsburytowninthecommunity.com/heads-up-live

The discussions will be live on YouTube and Facebook from 3pm on Saturday, May 2.
