Wem firefighters rescue dog stuck in tree
Firefighters had an unusual early morning call out today - to help with a dog stuck in a tree.
The crew from Wem was called to the Corbett Woods beauty spot at 8.30am.
The fire service said they had received a call reporting an animal stuck in a tree.
Upon arrival they used a 10.5-metre ladder to reach the animal and were able to bring it down to safety.
