The Blue Sky Foundation was set up to raise money for the Haematology unit at RSH in memory of Steve Newman.

Mr Newman, a former senior manager with the Midlands News Association, passed away in 2017 age 50.

He family said; "Through our fundraising we will honour his name by our continuous efforts to fulfil his legacy in finding a cure for leukaemia."

Blue Sky has already donated £12,000 to the unit by holding various events including marathons, quiz nights, golfing days and parachute jumps.

Now Mr Newman's brother-in-law has completed an oil painting to help with the fundraising.

Richard Owen said the painting, entitled "Energy Incarnation" was dedicated to the memory of Mr Newman.

"Steve was my brother in law and is dearly missed by our family," Mr Owen said.

"He was a thoughtful and kind man with a sense of humour and a very forward-thinking attitude to resolving any given situation."

Anyone interested in the painting can contact stevebluesky.co.uk or email richardowen005@gmail.com.
