Tributes for supporter of Omega charity
Omega the National Association for End of Life Care had paid tribute to one of its former staff and latterly a volunteer.
The Shrewsbury based charity said Janet Wood, who died recently following a long illness, was an inspirational, community-spirited woman who cared passionately about people.
"She conscientiously served Omega for over 12 years, latterly in a voluntary capacity as an Omega Patron," Omega chairman, Linton Waters said.
" Popular with colleagues and supporters, Janet was a calming influence who always brought out the best in people. She combined enthusiasm and kindness with sound judgment and had supported the Omega Board and the Director since 2009."
Director Thomas Memery said: “Janet’s warmth and kindness was infectious. She reached out to people who others had left behind; she listened carefully and was a calming influence. In short, Janet was a good person who made good things happen. We will remember her with fondness and admiration.”
