The poor cat got itself stuck in a tree at Haughmond Abbey, near Shrewsbury, on Friday.

The RSPCA attended but officers were unable to coax the kitten down over the weekend, so they called the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Two fire engines were sent this morning including the aerial ladder platform.

Firefighters were able to use the ladder platform to retrieve the kitten and bring it safely down to the ground.
