Body of woman recovered from pond in Shrewsbury
The body of a woman has been recovered from a pond in Shrewsbury.
West Mercia Police was called to the Bicton area just before 3pm on Sunday.
A police spokesman said the body of an adult female had been recovered from a pond.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police said they were in the process of liaising with the woman's family.
The woman's identity has not yet been disclosed, but police said she is from the local area.
Several police cars and fire engines were at the scene, where a cordon had been put in place.
