Lorry with blown tyre causes delays on A5 near M54 junction
A lorry with a blown tyre caused rush hour delays on the A5 eastbound between Shrewsbury and Wellington this morning.
The incident happened near where the road joins the M54 at Wellington, at about 8.30am, and traffic was reduced to using the outside lane while a new tyre was awaited.
Delays of about three minutes to journey times were reported on sat nav devices and the West Mercia Police's Operational Patrol Unit tweeted that there were delays.
Delays were also recorded on the AA's Traffic News website.
