Fever & Boutique in Shrewsbury has been cordoned off by police

Shrewsbury Police set up a cordon sealing off a section of Bridge Street Car Park, part of the Hill's Lane road, and access to the Fever & Boutique nightclub, near to the Welsh Bridge on Saturday morning.

West Mercia Police later confirmed officers were investigating a suspected stabbing outside the club, believing it happened after an altercation inside.

Three cars were left within the cordon, while another part of Welsh Bridge was also taped off, with growing congestion in the town centre as police guided traffic.

All roads were reopen again by early afternoon.
