Vandals target playground in Shrewsbury's Quarry - setting fire and pouring milk over rides
Vandals have targeted the playground in Shrewsbury's Quarry, damaging play equipment loved by children.
One of the pieces of play equipment in the playgroup was set on fire and plastic cartons of milk, were poured over the safety surfacing.
The vandalism took place at about 6am on Saturday.
The culprits stole the milk that had been delivered to Coffee Evolution next to the playground.
Staff at the coffee and icecream outlet confirmed that the milk had been delivered there but did not want to comment.
The mess was cleaned up and the playground reopened to the public later in the morning.
