Emergency crews scrambled to water rescue incident near Shrewsbury
A man was taken to hospital after after concerns for a man in the water near Shrewsbury.
West Midlands Ambulance Service treated a man on scene at Post Office Lane, near Hanwood, before he was taken to hospital.
A spokesman for WMAS said they were called at 11.05pm following concerns for the welfare of a man.
"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended and treated the man on scene before he was conveyed to hospital," said a spokesman.
Appliances including Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service's incident command unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Tweedale and Wellington, with an operations officer at 11.10pm on Sunday, to reports of a water rescue.
When they arrived on the scene at Post Office Lane, near Hanwood, they found that one man was already out of the water. A spokesman said that no action was required by the fire service.
The fire service incident stop message was received by fire control in Shrewsbury at 11.34pm.
