Shrewsbury firefighters tackle blaze involving curtains
Firefighters stopped a fire involving curtains spreading in a flat in Shrewsbury.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received 999 calls at 7.15pm on Sunday after the blaze started in a second floor flat in New Street in the town.
Two fire crews from Shrewsbury were quickly on scene together with an operations officers.
The crews wore breathing apparatus to tackle the fire, with colleagues ensuring their safety with a covering jet.
They brought the fire under control by 7.45pm and used a thermal imaging camera to ensure their were no hotspots to allow the fire could re-ignite.
