Shrewsbury road closed after water leak freezes
A route out of Shrewsbury has been closed after a flooded road froze in sub zero temperatures.
The B5067 Berwick Road in the north of the town has been closed from the West Mid showground entrance up to the Leaton junction.
Shropshire Council said the closure was due to a water leak – which is causing issues due to the cold weather.
"Severn Trent have been notified and the road will remain closed until it has dealt with the leak," a council spokesperson said.
Motorists can divert via the Baschurch Road at Harlescott.
