Water leaks into road after 'youths' tamper with Shrewsbury flood defence pump
'Youths' tampered with a flood defence pump set up to protect homes in Shrewsbury, resulting in some water leaking into a road.
Water began leaking into the roadway after a pump in Coleham Head was tampered with by "youths" on Thursday, the Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said, and a crew was called out at about 10pm.
A fire service spokesperson said that firefighters could not fix the issue and so Severn Trent Water was called to attend.
Severn Trent and West Mercia Police have been approached for further information.
