The Shrewsbury town centre pub that raises money for charity with each pint sold
The Claremont Social Tap in Shrewsbury is a pub that is running a fantastic initiative for the community; 10p from each pint sold is put into a pot that goes to charitable causes.
Mark Reed and his partner Jenny Gale run the establishment on 7 Claremont Street in Shrewsbury, and have done so since the beginning of this year.
The pub - formerly the Warehouse Bar and Grill - was bought last year by Amber Taverns and underwent a major refit. Now everything is modern, and the venue is popular.
The business slogan is 'Proudly supporting our community, one pint at a time'. Mark says this is how he and Jenny run the pub, and it has become a great place for the local community.
Mark says: "It has been really busy since we opened, it has gone really well.
"It is not easy opening a new pub and getting footfall coming in, but it is a nice interactive place with a lot to offer.
"We have a range of amenities that customers really enjoy using such as a shuffleboard which is a really popular game in Shrewsbury, an interactive darts board which is very popular, and people really enjoy playing on it.
