Car hits lamppost in Shrewsbury town centre sparking 999 call
Emergency services were called when a car hit a lamppost in Shrewsbury town centre.
The collision happened just after midnight on Friday on Smithfield Road.
No one was trapped in the car.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue service sent a crew from its nearby headquaters in Shrewsbury to the scene and firefighters made sure the vehicle was safe in a 30 minute operation.
