Road sweeper blaze caused by 'leaves and debris' alight in the back
Leaves and debris caught fire in the back of a road sweeper in a morning incident in Shrewsbury.
Firefighters was sent from the station in Shrewsbury to London Road at 8.59am on Thursday to reports of a lorry fire.
When they and an operations officer arrived on the scene they found a small fire among leaves and debris in the back of the road sweeper.
It didn't take firefighters long to deal with it. Two of the crew wore breathing kit and one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.
The crew incident stop message was sent at 9.14am.
