Shrewsbury sunflower has competition for honour of being UK's tallest
Residents 150 miles away say their neighbour is in the running to top a Shrewsbury IT consultant who claimed to have grown the UK's tallest sunflower this year.
Andrew Florendine, 43, has grown a towering 20 feet (six metres) sunflower in his garden in Grange Road this year.
He believes it could be the UK's tallest this year, and has even had to construct scaffolding around his prize bloom to protect it.
