Dealer who threw drugs away after being spotted by police is jailed

A drug dealer who tried to throw away wraps of crack cocaine and heroin after being spotted by police in Shrewsbury, has been jailed for two years.

Kallum Marshall, 21, of Belmont Road, Halesowen, Dudley, was just 18 when he was spotted dealing in Monkmoor in May 2021, Shrewsbury Crown Court heard on Friday.

Prosecutor Tim Sapwell said police officers in an unmarked car spotted Marshall go down an alleyway with two other men on the date of the offence.

"Officers interrupted a drug deal that was about to take place," he told the court. "The defendant through a bundle of wraps and banknotes away from himself."
