Firefighters rescue cow from slurry pit at Shropshire farm

Firefighters worked to rescue a cow which was stuck in a slurry pit.

The fire service was called to the incident earlier this morning

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to help at around 5.45am on Monday, after reports of the animal being stuck at a site in the Hadnall area.

Three crews were sent to the incident, from Shrewsbury, Baschurch and Wellington, along with a rescue tender and the water rescue unit.

In an update the service said that the animal had been rescued at around 8am.
