Police seek biker using Shrewsbury river tow paths as a 'race track'
Police in Shrewsbury are on the lookout for an errant dirt bike rider who is using the town's tow paths as a "race track".
West Mercia Police said they have put up posters and have upped patrols in the area, after a youth racing around on the tow paths was reported to the force.
Bill Hammond, 63, who is among those that have reported the youth's behaviour, said somebody could be "seriously hurt" as the teenager is using the towpaths like a "race track".
He said he regularly walks along the River Severn in Shrewsbury, but over the last few weeks, his waterside strolls have been disrupted by the youth and his motorcycle.
