Woman taken to hospital after car ends up on side in Shrewsbury town centre crash
A woman was taken to hospital after a crash in Shrewsbury town centre this afternoon.
The incident took place on Coton Hill/Chester Street in Shrewsbury shortly after 2pm.
An ambulance crew came across the scene and treated one woman, the driver of one of the cars involved.
The fire service also sent a crew to the scene, with the road currently closed.
A statement from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "One of our ambulances came across a collision near to the junction of Chester Street and the A528 at 2.09pm.
"One ambulance attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, the driver of one of the cars. She was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital."
