Shrewsbury BID this week introduced the initiative running from the November 4 to November 10.

Designed to celebrate the town’s vibrant food scene, this week-long event invites locals and visitors to discover exclusive dishes, discounts, and themed dining nights across a whopping 35 venues in Shrewsbury town centre. And with a weekend full of offers just around the corner, there’s still lots to explore!

Shrewsbury Restaurant Week features special, limited-time menu offerings, like the La Mexicana pizza at Dough & Oil, a special limited-time menu at Café on the Severn, and a unique, upscale kebab shop experience at Henry Tudor House.

For bargain hunters, the week-long foodie celebration offers discount dining from multi-item deals to across-the-board discounts, and caters to all tastes and budgets, while providing an opportunity to explore the culinary creativity of Shrewsbury’s beloved local cafes, independent favourites, or even grab a cheap eat at one of the town’s national chains.

To celebrate this inaugural event, diners can also participate in Original Shrewsbury’s Eat to Win competition. Guests who visit at least five participating venues and collect a stamp from each on their official Restaurant Week card will be entered into a prize draw to win a three-course meal for two at any participating restaurant of their choice — a unique opportunity to experience more of what Shrewsbury’s culinary scene has to offer.

"We are thrilled to launch the first-ever Shrewsbury Restaurant Week," stated EJ Hopson-VandenBos, Shrewsbury BID. "Our town is known for its food scene, and this event is a great way for people to discover new flavours, support local businesses, and join in the excitement of themed nights and exclusive offers. We’re looking forward to seeing both residents and visitors enjoying this celebration of Shrewsbury’s unique culinary talent."

Restaurant Week aims to boost support for hospitality businesses during what can be a challenging climate, encouraging diners out into town to enjoy everything from casual lunches to special evening outings.

“This is such an exciting initiative to be part of in its first year,” commented Alexis Hill, owner of wine and tapas bar St Vincent on Fish St. “It’s great to see so many businesses coming together to create an offering to bring customers to town in what can be a challenging time of year for hospitality, and the exposure that generates for eateries people might not be familiar with. We hope to see this become an annual event that businesses, locals and visitors can look forward to every year!”
