Shrewsbury judge apologises to man accused of nine counts of rape as he sets trial date in June 2026
A man faces a crown court trial in June 2026 after pleading not guilty to 17 charges which include nine counts of alleged rape.

Jaik Turner, aged 26 and of County Road in Stafford, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Tuesday where he entered not guilty pleas to each charge as they were read out to him.
Turner is also accused of four sexual assaults, one count of encouraging a female to engage in sexual activity, one count of attempted sexual assault and two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm.
