Rescue services on hand in Shrewsbury after people trapped in lift
Emergency services were on hand to assist an engineer after people became trapped in a lift in Shrewsbury.

The incident occured as a lift became stuck between two floors at around 5.10pm this evening (January 29).
A Shropshire Fire and Rescue crew were in attendance and standing by to assist an engineer on scene.
A spokesperson from Shropshire Fire and Rescue service said: "At 17:09 on Wednesday, 29 January, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Lift Rescue Persons Locked In in Shrewsbury.
"1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury. Crews standing by whilst engineer in attendance for lift which is stuck between two floors."
The incident concluded at around 6.16pm.
