Shrewsbury road remains closed for works days after gas leak discovered near level crossing
A major town route remained closed on Tuesday as work continued to repair a gas leak.

About Harlescott
Once home to Shrewsbury's livestock market, Harlescott now boasts a huge Tesco supermarket and park and ride service into Shrewsbury. Every Sunday, a large open air market is held at the park and ride site. Harlescott was also once a fairly notable railway centre, but now all the sidings have gone. It also has a pub named after Harry Hotspur, who fought at the Battle of Shrewsbury which took place in the area.
