Woman injured as three-vehicle crash closes A49 at Shrewsbury
A three-vehicle crash closed the A49 around the east of Shrewsbury today.
Emergency services were called out to the collision, on the road between the Sundorne and the Battlefield roundabouts, at 11.41am.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said that one woman was treated for injuries, not believed to be serious, before being taken to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further assessment.
The second patient was discharged at the scene.
The road closure led to long tailbacks and slow traffic as drivers were diverted through roads in Harlescott.
