Millichope Park, in Munslow, is preparing to welcome the public to its 14 acres of landscaped of gardens on Sunday, October 15.

The country house was the first home to open its gardens for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) this year and its autumn opening on Sunday will be the last garden event in Shropshire for 2023.

The NGS scheme sees estates and private homes across the UK open to the public, with money raised for entrance fees going towards a host of UK charities, including including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Parkinson’s UK, Carers Trust and The Queen’s Nursing Institute.

Last year the initiative raised £3.1 million for charity.
