It will be held at the Public Hall in Bishop’s Castle, starting at 7pm.

The Preferred Sites consultation document outlines a housing policy direction to improve the delivery of local housing needs and establishes development guidelines and development boundaries for a number of communities in the area including Bishop’s Castle, Clun, Bucknell, Worthen and Chirbury. The plan sets out the preferred sites to deliver the scale and distribution of housing and employment growth during the period 2016 to 2036.

Jonny Keeley, local Shropshire Councillor for Bishop’s Castle, said: “Across south west Shropshire we have a number of communities that have been designated as hub settlements, which will see new housing development over the next 20 years.

"These meetings give the public the chance to find out more about these sites and to have their say on them. We recognise the need for new housing in the area, but also want to make sure we allocate the correct sites and provide housing which supports our communities to be sustainable.”
