Power cut leaves dozens of customers without electricity all day in Bishop's Castle
About 25 homes are currently without power in Bishop's Castle because of a cable fault that was reported at 7.15am on Thursday.
Western Power Distribution (WPD) has its engineers in the SY9 postcode area working on the underground fault.
A spokesman for WPD apologised for any inconvenience caused.
The company said it tries to ensure that power is restored within 12 hours to such incidents.
An update on the company's website estimated that power would be restored by 7.30pm.
