Roads reopen after firefighters rush to battle house fire in Bishop's Castle
Firefighters were called to a house fire in Bishop's Castle.
It happened on Salop Street at around 5.20pm on Saturday. No one was hurt in the blaze, which had spread through a cavity wall.
Salop Street was closed by The Three Tuns but has since reopened.
Fire crews urged members of the public to avoid the area.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire and Rescue service said: "At 17:20 on Saturday, Fire control received a call reporting a fire classified as house fire in Bishop's Castle.
"Two fire appliances including the aerial ladder platform were mobilised from Bishop's Castle and Clun. An Operations officer was in attendance.
"Confirmed smoke issuing from roof of property."
