Gorse fire on the Long Mynd
Fire fighters tackled a gorse fire on the Long Mynd on Monday night.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
Calls to 999 were received at 9.14pm and two fire crews from nearby Church Stretton were quickly on the scene.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said that there were multiple pockets of fire in gorse bushes.
The firefighters uses knapsacks and spades to painstakingly extinguish the fire and ensure they did not re-ignite. The operation was under control by 10.30pm.
