Report of house blaze in Church Stretton with people involved was 'small oven fire'
Three fire engines were scrambled to reports of a property fire in Church Stretton with the possibility of people being involved.
Appliances were mobilised from Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Shrewsbury to Essex Road at 2.32pm on Friday.
When they arrived they found that all persons were accounted for.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "The incident involving a small fire in the bottom oven of a cooker which was out on arrival."
Firefighters ventilated the ground floor of the property and used a thermal camera to look for any hot spots. They declared the danger was over just 14 minutes later.
