But he also took to the course, going a few holes all for a good cause.

The charity golf day has been held every year for five years and organisers say this year has been the biggest yet.

Held at Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club on Friday, the event had raised over £1,000 before a ball was even hit.

The event was sponsored by Mark Greenfield of MG Shopfronts Dudley with some match funding from Barclays and HSBC Banks.

Organiser, David Coleman, said: "The e day was a huge success.

"A personal appearance by former Wolverhampton Wanders legend Steve Bull, who also handed out the prizes beside playing, helped ensure the 100-plus players had a terrific day.

"The event attracted teams from all over the country with players travelling in from London and Europe."

The winning team were from Evesham's Vale Vehicle Movements but few teams went home without some sort of prize.

The 2016 event raised £9,000 for the charity, which supports youngsters and their families going through cancer treatment.
