Ken's RAF talk for legion annual lunch
Guest speaker at the annual luncheon of Cleobury Mortimer Royal British Legion was Telford author and historian Kenneth Ballantyne, who talked about the history of the RAF and aviation.
Mr Ballantyne has researched the lives of a number of wartime RAF personnel and has published biographies of them.
The lunch was at Cleobury's Sports & Social Club and chairman Mike Hermolle took the opportunity to present an official award to Jim Hulme for his 20 years of service to the branch, including six years in the chair, from 2008 to 2014.
Forthcoming RBL events include a coach trip to the British Ironwork Centre on April 25, an evening at Hobson’s Brewery on May 23, and a coach trip to Bletchley Park on July 18.
