Nicky Todd is appealing to students, the recently unemployed and jobseekers to give a few hours of their time to her Severn Hospice shop in Craven Arms.

Anyone over 14 years of age with four or more hours to spare a week can help out.

Ms Todd said: “What you get from it is a chance to meet new people, an opportunity to gain new qualifications and a sense of fulfilment from helping others.

“If you are currently searching for work, it can help boost your CV. Join our friendly team and make new friends while helping our charity.

“We have a wide range of roles, including sorting donations, steaming clothing, pricing, till work, stock replenishing and fundraising. We currently need help from 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Our recent shortage of volunteers has resulted in us having to close on occasion.”

If you can spare some time pop in to the shop or give Ms Todd a call on 01588 672949. Alternatively, apply online via the Severn Hospice website.
