Horse stuck in cattle grid is cut free by fire crews
Firefighters came to the rescue of a horse trapped in a cattle grid in south Shropshire by lifting it to freedom.
The large horse had fallen and got its legs trapped in a cattle grid at Kempton, near Craven Arms, at around 8.15am on Wednesday.
Fire crews used cutting equipment to release the horse by removing part of the cattle grid and then lifting the horse using a harness and Manitou lifting machine.
Crews from Clun Fire Station and Wellington attended the scene.
The horse was taken to a nearby stable to recuperate.
