Man suffers head injuries after lorry crash in south Shropshire
A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after his car was involved in a crash with a lorry in south Shropshire.
The car came to rest in a hedge as a result of the crash which happened on the A44 between Leominster and Bromyard just before 4.30am today.
The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was taken to Hereford hospital with head injuries.
Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "At 4.27am we were called to reports of a collision between a car and a lorry.
"The car came to rest in a hedge as a result of the collision.
"The driver, a man in his 50s, was treated for a head injury and taken to Hereford hospital.
"One ambulance attended."
Dan Butler, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "At approximately 4.30am today, West Mercia Police received a report of a collision taking palace on the A44.
"The collision was between a car and a lorry.
"One man was taken to hospital via land ambulance as a result of the collision."
