Teenage motorcyclist dies in A49 crash

A teenage motorcyclist has died after a crash.

The crash happened on the A49 Dinmore Hill, near Leominster, at about 2.30pm on Thursday, and involved a white Yamaha motorbike and a silver Toyota Landcruiser

The white Yamaha motorbike was being ridden towards Leominster and the silver Toyota was travelling in the opposite direction when they crashed.

The rider of the motorbike, a 17-year-old boy, suffered fatal injuries.

His next of kin have been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

The driver of the Toyota was uninjured.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who saw the incident, or who saw the vehicles and the manner in which they were being driven prior to the collision.

Anyone with information is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 339S of January 11.
