Conversion plan for flood-prone rural pub on Shropshire border is knocked back
A bid to turn a flood-prone pub near the south Shropshire border into a house has been narrowly defeated.

Tenbury sits on the banks of the river Teme and right on the south Shropshire border - in fact its suburb Burford, linked to the town by a bridge, is officially in Shropshire, while Tenbury itself is in the Malvern Hills District of Worcestershire. The town prides itself as being the mistletoe capitol of England, as the region is rich in apple orchards where the plant grows, and people come all over each year for festive auctions.
