Motorcyclist taken to hospital after Telford crash

A man was taken to hospital today after a crash involving a motorcycle and a light goods vehicle in Telford.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to Telford's Princess Royal Hospital after the crash at Stafford Park 1 at about 9.40am.

The incident partially blocked the road at Stafford Park 13.

The fire service attended to make the vehicles safe and the police were also in attendance.

Claire Brown, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called by the fire service at 9.43am, one ambulance was sent.

"We treated a man in his 20s who's the motorcyclist. He suffered leg injuries. He was given inmobilisation at the scene before being taken to the Princess Royal Hospital."

Dan Butler, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "We've got a recovery vehicle on the way now so there may be delays in the area."
