People are being asked to vote for one of the three logos which will then be used in promotional material and at events during the year.

Telford & Wrekin Council will use the logo which attracts the most votes in its publicity as the borough gears up to mark the half-century anniversary.

The voting is open until midnight on June 22.

Council leader Shaun Davies urged people to vote for their favourite, saying he was delighted with the standard of choice..

He said: “We want as many people as possible in the borough to get involved in the Telford 50 celebrations.

“This is an opportunity for residents, businesses and visitors to have an early say in how Telford’s 50th birthday celebrations will take shape.

“We are looking forward to a fantastic landmark year with lots of memorable events, giving residents and visitors alike the chance to discover Telford with fresh eyes.”

The most popular logo will be officially unveiled at The Carnival of Giants on July 15.
