Cyclist taken to hospital after crash in Telford
A cyclist has been taken to hospital after a crash with a car in Telford today.
The woman suffered back injuries after the crash, which saw Leegate Avenue in Leegomery closed for a short period this afternoon.
It happened at about 12.50pm today on Barnes Wallis Drive and involved the cyclist and a black Ford KA.
Kieren Bodill, a spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “The female cyclist is believed to have received injuries to her back, which not life threatening and has been taken to Prince Royal hospital for treatment.
"Road closures were in place at Leegate Avenue and the roundabout, but have since re-opened.
"Police are appealing for anyone who has yet come forward, and may have information regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident."
