5,000 Telford properties hit by power lines fault
More than 5,000 properties were without power in Telford this morning due to a fault with overhead lines.
A total of 5,130 in the TF3 and TF5 areas of the borough lost electricity supply.
While all properties had power returned within 20 minutes, power to 63 homes has been switched off to allow engineers to complete the repairs.
Western Power Distribution says it hoped to have all homes back with power, and the issues repaired, by lunchtime.
