Crews tackle two-car crash in Telford

Four fire crews and an ambulance were sent to a two-car crash in Telford.

The emergency services were sent to the scene near the Grove Inn, Walcot, Wrockwardine, just after 4.30pm today.

Police said the road was blocked after the crash which was between a blue Audi and a grey Toyota.

Jamie Arrowsmith, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "At 4.36pm we were called to reports of a two-car road traffic collision near the Grove Inn, Walcot.

"There's a note from our crews saying the patient was not trapped and saying one person is walking wounded.

"We sent one ambulance to the scene and a paramedic officer was in attendance."

The fire crews were sent from Telford Central and Wellington.
