Burst water pipe hits Telford properties

A burst water pipe in Telford caused issues for residents today.

There were reports of flooding in Ketley and near Telford Town Centre.

Severn Trent Water said that their teams were heading to try to get the pipe fixed.

A spokesman for the company said: "We know how difficult it is to have no water, especially at this time of day and we’re sorry for the inconvenience this may be causing.

"We’d like to reassure our customers that we’re doing everything we can to get the water supplies back on as soon as we can.

"Again we’d like to apologise for any disruption this may cause."

More than 20,000 homes and businesses along with schools had to do without water in September when a main broke.

Severn Trent Water distributed 250,000 bottles of water to affected residents in Ironbridge, Woodside, Madeley, Sutton Hill and parts of Brookside.
