Chloe Poole, 16, of Madeley, and Mia Barry, 15, of Woodside, took on the challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support at Abraham Darby Sports and Leisure Centre in Telford.

The teenagers, who are both in year 11 at Abraham Darby Academy, raised more than £200.

Their bikes were put on turbo trainers to keep them static for the challenge, which took place on Sunday.

The girls raised the funds through sponsorship and donations were dropped in collection buckets on the day.

Chloe said: "At school we had a charity fortnight to raise money for MacMillan but we wanted to do something ourselves. "We are really proud. It was really difficult, especially in the morning.

"We cycled for about an hour at a time and stopped for 10 minute breaks.

"I think there were a few hour sections when we got more used to it.

"We'd like to thank everyone who supported us."
