Landmark Telford office block pulled apart - with pictures
Demolition work on one of Telford's landmark buildings is well under way.
Diggers have been at Reynolds House on Ironmasters Way in Telford since Monday, when they started the process of knocking down the former offices.
The work has also involved the use of a 21-tonne excavator.
The building, recognisable for its mirrored windows bordered in red, will make way for new office for a housing group.
The demolition work is already making rapid progress, with sections of the building now entirely removed.
Reynolds House was built in the 1980s and was made up of four floors of office space.
The work to demolish the building is expected to take around three months, and will be immediately followed by the construction of a new contemporary head office for Housing Plus Group.
The new three-storey L-shaped premises will include a car park with space for 78 vehicles, and will provide a boost to local employment. The organisation has 600 staff.
The demolition of the building was approved by Telford & Wrekin Council planners last week along with the new 30,000 sq ft replacement.
