M54 blocked after two crashes within a mile in under a minute
Drivers heading into Shropshire along the M54 found themselves caught up in delays after two multi-vehicle crashes this evening.

All lanes were stopped and traffic queued for miles in the freezing conditions as the emergency services worked at both crash scenes during rush hour
The collisions happened within minutes of each other and within a mile of one another, just before 6pm on the westbound motorway between Junction 2 for Wolverhampton and Junction 3 for the A41 Newport Road.
Police said all traffic was temporarily halted and queues formed back as far as Codsall Wood while the incidents were dealt with.
The extent of any injuries is not yet known.
