Two cars crashed on the A41 Kingswood Road, Albrighton, at about 4.50pm.

Three ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene and found all four occupants had self-extricated and were being cared for by passers-by.

Claire Brown, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "A woman in her 20s, a passenger, suffered a suspected fractured leg.

"She was given pain relief and immobilised before being taken by land ambulance on blue lights to New Cross Hospital.

"A woman in her 30s, a second passenger, suffered leg, shoulder, back and neck injuries.

"She too was given pain relief and immobilised before being taken to the same hospital for further assessment and treatment.

"A man in his 60s was assessed by ambulance staff and found to have sustained a shoulder injury.

"He was given advice on scene but declined hospital treatment."

Motorists leaving Cosford were advised to use alternative routes and the road was reopened almost five hours later at about 9.40pm.
