Woman rescued after car crashes into garage at Telford house

A woman had to be rescued from a car which crashed into the garage of a Telford house today.

Fire crews were sent from Telford Central and Wellington to the crash on Finsbury Drive at 10.15am.

Firefighters used power equipment to free one casualty from the car after it crashed into a domestic garage.

Two fire engines were sent, including the rescue tender, to ensure the garage was safe.

One ambulance and one paramedic officer were called to the scene by the fire service to treat a woman who suffered a cut to her hand and bruised knees before being discharged.
